If Ever I Had the Intention of Punching Someone Out…

This is most certainly the set of brass knuckles I’d choose to use! I’m not going to deny it would hurt me like a bitch (and probably more than anyone on the receiving end). I’m also not going to deny that I would quite likely break more than a finger or two if I really put my all into it.

But can you just imagine the mark left on someone’s face after being punched with one of these?

All I know about this glorious ring(s) is where I found the image. I seriously need to know where to buy this sucker so I can use it as a super menacing… thing… when walking the streets alone at night!

…I promise I’m not a hooker.

Living a Tea-Rated Office Life

One of the main tricks when trying to experience the glory of tea when you aren’t at home is how to brew it properly! Last week, I talked a bit about general guidelines to follow when brewing your tea. So how do you take that information and apply it to making tea when you’re at work?

I’ve taken the liberty of narrowing down this topic into the top options that I’ve found useful myself.

1. Consider using a small teapot when in the office. I’ve found this to not only be an effective way of brewing tea, but it also acts as a nice conversation starter with co-workers with even a vague interest in tea as well. To be honest, it isn’t always convenient to have an actual teapot, though. It can take up more space than you’ve got available, or even cause a little mess with drips and the like.

I Know I Always Wanted a Blind Stalker

Am I the only one who is even a little jealous of Lionel Richie for having such a smoking hot blind stalker in his music video for ‘Hello’? The one thing I’ve never quite understood was how she had such a majestic intuition to be able to sculpt his mulleted head so perfectly without laying eyes or hands on him. All she ever heard was his voice.

Yes, I do understand that it’s supposed to be this whole big thing about how they’re so meant for each other that even though she has never seen him, she is so powerfully drawn to him that she somehow knows what he looks like perfectly and can sculpt a surprisingly accurate bust of him in art class. (Please pardon that extremely long sentence.) But still. I still think she should have just walked on up to him and said,

“Hello. Is it TEA you’re looking for?” Because then he could have said, “Yes, baby. I’ve been stalking you in return. Let’s live together forever – just you, me, and my majestic mustache.”

Unfortunately, LennyMud over at Etsy just made a Tea for One with Lionel Richie, so it looks like he’s destined to stay alone…

OR IS HE? Watch the video yourself and see!

Bring On Mrs. Potts!

Growing up, Beauty and the Beast was my favorite Disney movie. I loved that Belle was a book nerd (much like myself) and that she seriously was okay with choosing her own path. Of all the characters in the story, Chip was one of my favorites for his innocent spunk. His mother, Mrs. Potts, never really seemed to make a lot of sense to me, I guess. However, as I’ve grown older, I’ve come to really enjoy her as a character for her motherly love and guidance throughout it all.

On a side note, I went out for this past New Years’ Eve with some friends and, at a Target near the club we were going to, I found the perfect final accessory for my outfit… a headband beret. Yes. You read that right. It’s like a mini-beret on a headband! And it is glorious.

So, to continue that glory, I present to you an item that I would love to have – the Tea Pot Headband from youcute on Etsy!

You can find this adorable accessory right here!

I Pity the Fool Who Doesn’t Drink Tea!

I’m the first to admit I’m not quite old enough to have grown up watching the A-Team. Despite this, I have always known who Mr. T was and how he had a tendency to “Pity the foo’!” A family friend even had a classic Mr. T action figure (it’s not a doll!) that he would take pictures of with people he was acquainted with. Here’s one of those shots with myself and all of my brothers (he’s the wee little one in the middle):

Today’s Monday NovelTea has two items. Unfortunately for myself and the rest of the world (tea drinking or otherwise), the first one is only available in the UK at a bit of a high cost and the other one isn’t available any longer! So I invite you now to behold the glory that is Mr. Tea!

Above is the limited edition Mr. Tea. Lunartik, who created Mr. Tea, also has a line of other pretty awesome tea items, so definitely check this out!

The Mr. T Tea for One is found in the Etsy shop of Lennymud. Unfortunately it’s been sold, but Lennymud has recently re-opened shop with a number of other items, some Mr. Tea related!
