Who Am I?

My name is Dinah (that’s me on the left here). I’m 25 years old and I have a particular obsession with tea. I guess it’s safe to say you already guessed that, given the nature of this blog.

While I’ve technically been drinking tea since I was quite young, I only recently (in the past few years) developed the deep appreciation that I have for it today. I started joining online tea forums and reading books and blogs about tea when it hit me – almost everyone I was encountering approached tea like the aficionados they were. It was this lofty thing that just wasn’t accessible to anyone who didn’t already know quite a lot of the basics.

Not to mention the fact that I felt like I was one of the youngest people in the Tea Community. All I could think about was trying to get other people my age involved, yet everyone I came across was such a staunch coffee drinker that it was nearly impossible to convince them to give tea a shot.

That ends now. Tea is this fantastic, fun, exciting, and delicious drink that can relax you, hydrate you, and there are even whispers it can help prevent and treat various health problems (more on that in the course of the blog!).

So why don’t people my age want to try it? Because it’s got a stigma associated with it that it’s boring and stuffy. I am here to prove that idea wrong!

I’m not yet the tea expert I hope someday to be, but during the course of this blog, I hope to change that and to help others on the same path as myself!
